Contact Wilson County Record Offices

This is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. For a current answer, contact the agency that made or keeps the record.

Where Wilson Record Questions Go

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office is the first local contact for county detention questions. Its official contact block lists the following address and main line. The current county source does not publish a separate booking-records phone, booking-photo fee, or records-counter schedule.

Wilson County Sheriff’s Office
100 E. Green St.
P.O. Box 1666
Wilson, NC 27894-1666
Main: (252) 237-2118
Emergency: 911

For a written request, use the Wilson County public-records request page. Name the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office or its records custodian and ask for an existing booking record or booking photograph. Include the person’s full name, date of birth if known, booking or arrest date, and arresting agency. Ask for a fee estimate. North Carolina law may allow actual reproduction cost and a reasonable special service charge for unusually extensive work, but no sheriff-specific amount or turnaround promise was published.

Choose the Right Wilson Source

A search result can be stale or point to the wrong Wilson County in another state. These routes separate local custody, city police events, court outcomes, state supervision, and federal or immigration custody:

The older 2021–2022 North Carolina Sheriffs’ Directory lists (252) 237-8300 as a 24-hour non-emergency number and (252) 237-2522 for detention. Because those lines come from a dated directory, confirm them before relying on either number. The current county emergency communications page lists (252) 237-8300 for the communications center and gives 911 for emergencies. Its posted hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for that communications center, not for detention visits or records service.
